A Bit About Me

After figuring out my natural talent for English from my GCSE results (A, A), I carried on with it in sixth form, unaware where it would take me. My teacher was a poet and won this prestigious prize while she was teaching us. She opened my eyes to literature and my world began to evolve around it.

One English Literature and Creative Writing degree (a First in Poetry), a small starter career in publishing, and an awakening into teaching later, I became a mother to three girls. They are my light but teaching ignites it. I've realised, in order to keep the family thriving, I need my own outlet to teach.

My Dad has always said its a Zooworld out there. So I decided to help others in the brave new world. I found my GCSE and A-Level years the hardest to navigate and I know how hard it is. Zooworld Education was born so that motherhood and education can coexist together.

Co-Founder of The Parent Village, at Educafe, Newbury.
Lockdown began when I had my first daughter aged 6 months. Parenting ceased socially. My friend and I created a Parent Group because nothing like it existed in West Berkshire: a village was needed so we made it. It’s a community hub to provide support and advice for new parents in the local area.
30-50 parents attend each week and there are 500+ members on the WhatsApp group.
I now provide Pregnancy Workshops with local experts for pregnant mothers who want to educate themselves about the postpartum period.

Teacher of English and Deputy Housemistress at Bradfield College, Berkshire.
I started my teaching career here after qualifying at my old school, St. Bartholomew's, Newbury. The experiences here expanded my love for teaching students and caring pastorally for them, too. I was invited to help at their prep school English department during the early years of motherhood.
